C1807 Downton Abbey Egyptian Architecture
Since 1922, when Howard Carter found Tutankhamun, and other archaeologists brought to light Egyptian treasures, interest in Egyptian life was sparked. Lotus blossoms, hieroglyphs, amulets, and other Egyptian motifs are featured in this fabric by Andover's Downton Abbey collection. The rich colors are reminiscent of the precious jewels found in the treasures themselves such as lapis, onyx, carnelian, peridot, jasper, turquoise, and gold.

C1807 Downton Abbey Egyptian Architecture offers designs found on many of the structures and sarcophagus from Egyptian history. The pale tan background is highlighted with a multitude of designs. Be sure to click on the larger photo to see more of the motifs. The repeat is 8".

C1809 Egyptian Ornament Light

Lotus blossoms, hieroglyphs, amulets, and other Egyptian motifs are featured in this fabric by Andover's Downton Abbey collection. The rich colors are reminiscent of the precious jewels found in the treasures themselves such as lapis, onyx, carnelian, peridot, jasper, turquoise, and gold.

C1809 Egyptian Ornament Light has bells, feathers, and plate designs on a background of ivory. The motifs all overlap in a wonderful medley of color and design. The repeat is 12" and metallic gold outlines many of the shapes.

C1810 Catacombs of Egypt

C1810 Catacombs of Egypt is a fun geometric print in blue on a background of persimmon. At each stop along the path is a room, flower or sphere in light tan. The motifs seem to run randomly throughout the fabric and the scale is small so cutting will retain the look of the design. This is a great accent piece for the collection.

C1811 Palmetto Greek Key Stripe

C1811 Palmetto Greek Key Stripe will be great as sashing or borders. The stripes run the length of the fabric and alternate between Greek key shapes and Palmetto motifs. Each stripe is one inch wide. Stripes are divided by tiny flower shapes or wave-y lines. The background is a bright turquoise, while the design elements are blue, green and metallic gold.

C1812 Egyptian Labyrinth

C1812 Egyptian Labyrinth is an interesting geometric print that looks like a maze of teal through a warm caramel and sienna print. The background print has zig zags, leaves and flowers. The teal maze is only 1/4" wide and separates the background into shapes that are between 4" and 6" long. Be sure to look at the larger photo to get a better feel for the design.

C1813 Anuket is the goddess of the river Nile. Can you find her within the design? A fabulous neutral to use as a background in any project. The warm beige background sets off the ivory designs in a subtle, yet elegant manner. The motifs are small, only 2 1/2" tall and the repeat is 4". Anytime you want a background with attitude, this is a good choice!
